The Southern Gas Community centre project has tactical importance for the electricity security of The european union, said Maros Sefcovic, European Commission rate vice-president for Energy Partnership, Feb. 23.

Sefcovic said the progress in the Southern Propane Corridor’s construction was reached not only thanks to the massive effort and are employed all the countries through which this pipeline can be routing, but also as a result of good atmosphere designed around the negotiating stand regarding the project.

The Southern Gasoline Corridor envisages transportation regarding 10 billion cubic meters of Azerbaijani gas from the Caspian region to The european countries via Georgia in addition to Turkey.

The gas will probably be exported through expansion of the South Caucasus Pipe and the construction on the Trans Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline along with the Trans Adriatic Pipeline.
